According to information from Kyrgyzhydromet, a sharp deterioration in weather conditions is predicted in Kyrgyzstan on January 17: snow is expected, with intense precipitation in some areas. Wet snow will accumulate on wires and trees.

In some regions, fog may occur. Snow drifts and icy conditions will form on the roads, and snow drifts are expected in mountainous areas. The strengthening of the western wind may reach 15-20 m/s.

From January 17 to 19, the air temperature will drop significantly: in the Chui and Talas valleys, nighttime frosts of -9 to -14°C are possible, while daytime temperatures will fluctuate from -1 to -6°C. In the valley areas of the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions, nighttime temperatures will drop to -2 to -7°C, and during the day will range from -2 to +3°C. In the foothills, nighttime temperatures will be -11 to -16°C, while daytime temperatures will be -2 to -7°C. In the Issyk-Kul basin, nighttime frosts of -7 to -12°C and daytime fluctuations from -4 to +1°C are expected. In the agricultural zone of the Naryn region and in mountainous areas, nighttime temperatures may reach -23 to -28°C, while daytime temperatures will be -9 to -14°C. In high-altitude areas, nighttime temperatures will drop to -26 to -31°C, while daytime temperatures will be -9 to -14°C. In the Suusamyr valley, temperatures are expected to be -30 to -35°C at night and -11 to -16°C during the day.

Such adverse weather conditions may hinder the operation of communication enterprises, energy, and utility services. During intense precipitation, visibility on the roads will worsen, creating difficulties for road transport.

Due to the upcoming precipitation, from January 16 to 18, avalanches, snow drifts, and icy conditions are expected in the mountainous areas of Kyrgyzstan on the following roads:

- Bishkek—Osh, 121-138 km;

- Ala-Buka—Kanysh-Kiya, 68-74 km and 86-101 km;

- Krasnaya Gorka—Ak-Tash, 0-3 km;

- Myrza-Ake—Kara-Kulja—Alayku, 65-110 km;

- Karakol—Enilchek, 45-90 km;

- Balikchy—Kazaraman—Jalal-Abad, 326-349 km.

When passing through avalanche-prone areas on the roads, it is important to maintain a distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles.
