According to the Kazinform agency, 2025 was the warmest year in China since meteorological observations began in 1961. On average, the air temperature in the country reached 11 degrees Celsius.

According to information from Xinhua, from June to August, the average temperature across the country was 22.3 degrees, which is 1.1 degrees above the usual seasonal figures. Thus, the summer of 2025 became the hottest alongside the summer of 2024 since observations began.

In Beijing, a record amount of precipitation was recorded last year since meteorological observations began. Additionally, in the northern part of the country, the duration of the rainy season and the total amount of precipitation reached historical highs.

Meteorologists are warning this month of possible adverse weather conditions for the northern regions of China: low temperatures, snowfall, and freezing rain are expected. At the same time, southern regions should prepare in advance for the consequences of meteorological drought.
