Despite the expected warming, negative temperatures are still observed in some areas. This is due to the inflow of cold continental air, the formation of a temperature inversion, and radiative cooling at night. This was reported by specialists from Kyrgyzhydromet in an interview for AKIpress.

According to meteorologists, the inversion hinders the warming of the lower layers of the atmosphere, especially in the morning hours. No precipitation is forecasted in the coming days, as weather conditions remain stable, the meteorologists noted.

Kyrgyzstan continues to feel the influence of the periphery of an anticyclone, the center of which is located in Kazakhstan. This anticyclone is characterized by stable and slow-moving air masses.

Meteorologists also pointed out that persistent fogs arise due to inversion conditions, high atmospheric pressure, and light winds. "Under such conditions, fog is observed almost daily and will persist until the anticyclone weakens or shifts," they added.

Earlier, on January 7, meteorologists reported that no precipitation is expected in Kyrgyzstan over the week, and warming is forecasted in the coming days.
