From January 18 to 19, a sharp deterioration in weather conditions is expected in Kyrgyzstan: snowfall is anticipated in some areas, as well as intense precipitation. As a result, there may be wet snow accumulation on wires and trees, reports Kyrgyzhydromet.

Fog conditions are also observed. Snow drifts and ice slicks will form on the roads, and snow drifts are possible in mountainous areas. An increase in the western wind is expected, with speeds reaching 15-20 m/s.

From January 17 to 19, there will be a significant drop in air temperature. In the Chui and Talas valleys, the minimum temperature at night will be -9…-14 degrees, while during the day it will be -1…-6. In the valley areas of the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions, nighttime temperatures may drop to -2…-7, and during the day will vary from -2 to +3 degrees. In the foothills, the temperature at night will be -11…-16, and during the day -2…-7. In the Issyk-Kul basin, nighttime temperatures are expected to be -7…-12, and during the day -4…+1. In the Naryn region and mountainous areas, the minimum temperature at night may reach -23…-28, and during the day -9…-14. In high-altitude areas, nighttime temperatures will drop to -26…-31, while during the day they will remain between -9…-14. In the Suusamyr valley, nighttime temperatures are forecasted to be -30…-35, and during the day -11…-16.

Such changes in weather may hinder the operations of energy, utility, and communication services. During heavy precipitation, visibility on the roads will significantly worsen, creating difficulties for motorists.

Due to the expected precipitation from January 16 to 18 in the mountainous areas of Kyrgyzstan, as well as on highways, there is a possibility of avalanches, snow drifts, and icy conditions:

- Bishkek—Osh 121-138 km;

- Ala-Buka—Kanysh-Kiya 68-74 km, 86-101 km;

- Krasnaya Gorka—Ak-Tash 0-3 km;

- Karakol—Enilchek 45-90 km;

- Balikchy—Kazar-man—Jalal-Abad 326-349 km.

On the highways, when passing through dangerous sections, it is essential to maintain a distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles.
