Orthodox Christians celebrated the Baptism. Photo report
On January 19, Orthodox Christians celebrated the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. On the night before this day and throughout the day, believers traditionally immersed themselves in ice holes, regardless of the cold weather.

The bathing took place in specially prepared locations, where rescuers and medical staff were on duty to ensure the safety of the participants.

Participation in the Epiphany bathing is perceived as a symbol of spiritual purification and renewal. For many believers, this ritual is not only an expression of faith but also a continuation of centuries-old traditions.
