According to their report, the New Year celebrations took place in a calm atmosphere. Law enforcement agencies operated in an enhanced mode, ensuring safety in the main square of the city, where the main celebrations were held, which helped to avoid public order violations.
In a 24-hour period, 62 incidents and reports were registered in Osh in the electronic log of the Department of Internal Affairs. Of these, 56 cases were solved on the spot. The majority of the reports concerned fraudulent activities. Due to the New Year celebrations, no serious complaints were received, and serious crimes were not recorded.
Police officers in the central square of the city were able to return 39 lost children to their parents.
