The judicial authorities have decided to detain current and former public officials in connection with a case regarding the sale of a land plot valued at 200 million soms.
As reported by the press service of the Osh Regional Court, on December 20, 2025, the Osh City Court granted the request of the investigative department of the Osh City Internal Affairs Directorate. As a result, the preventive measure in the form of arrest for S.A.E., the former head of the municipal property management of the Osh City Hall, was extended until January 8, 2026. He is accused under Article 337, Part 3 of the Criminal Code, concerning abuse of official position resulting in significant damage through negligence.

Also, according to the ruling of the Osh City Court on December 18, 2025, the preventive measure for Sh.K.S., the deputy director of the Osh branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, will last until January 8, 2026. He is also charged under Article 337, Part 3 of the Criminal Code.
As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on December 30, 2025, several suspects in the abuse of official position were detained in Osh. The police received information that a land plot of 8,000 square meters, intended for social needs, was illegally transferred to private ownership.
Employees of the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and investigators from the Osh Internal Affairs Directorate detained two suspects: Sh.K., born in 1978, the deputy director of the State Agency's Osh branch, and S.A., born in 1968, the former head of the municipal property management. They were placed in custody.
According to law enforcement agencies, the plot was valued by the independent appraisal company "Land Reforms South" at 200 million soms and was returned to the balance of the municipal property management of the Osh City Hall.
