In Osh, both current and former officials have been detained on suspicion of abuse of office, according to information provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The investigation established that as a result of illegal actions by certain officials, a plot of land designated for social needs and covering an area of 8,000 square meters was removed from municipal ownership and transferred to private hands.

Operational actions were carried out by employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in cooperation with the investigative service of the Osh City Department of Internal Affairs.
During the investigation, the following individuals were detained:
the deputy director of the Osh branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography, born in 1978;
the former head of the municipal property department of the Osh mayor's office, born in 1968.
The suspects have been placed in custody as a preventive measure.
According to an independent assessment conducted by the organization "Land Reforms South," the value of the illegally transferred plot was 200 million soms, and it has been returned to the balance of the municipal property department of the Osh mayor's office.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also reported that investigative actions are ongoing, and the identities of other possible participants in this crime are being established.
