Police received a report that a land plot intended for social needs, covering an area of 8,000 square meters, had been illegally transferred into private ownership.
This incident was registered in accordance with Article 337 ("Abuse of Official Position") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Employees of the Main Department of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and investigators from the Internal Affairs Department of the city of Osh detained the deputy director of the Osh branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography under the Ministry of Agriculture, Sh.K., born in 1978, as well as the former head of the Municipal Property Management of the Osh City Hall, S.A., born in 1968. Both detainees have been placed in custody.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the independent appraisal organization "Land Reforms South" valued the plot at 200 million soms, after which it was returned to the balance of the Municipal Property Management of the Osh City Hall.
During the investigation, efforts are ongoing to identify other individuals involved in this crime.
