On December 24, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the accountability of police officers for serious disciplinary violations.
The incident that caused public outcry occurred at the entrance to a concert by the famous English performer Jay Sean. A video surfaced on social media in Kyrgyzstan showing two police officers in civilian clothes arguing with representatives of the Patrol Police Service of the Bishkek City Department of Internal Affairs. According to preliminary data, they attempted to enter the concert without the necessary tickets. During the conflict, one of them made a phone call, claiming they had invitations, but the sergeants did not allow them to pass.
The Jay Sean concert took place on December 20 at the small arena "Zhashtyk" in Bishkek.
In connection with the incident, the Internal Investigations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted an inspection, as a result of which senior lieutenant of police M.B. and captain of police M.K. were relieved of their duties.
