According to the press secretary of the Chui Regional Court, Tilek Otorov, the Alamudun District Court has made a decision regarding Baktiyar Saipidinovich Orozov, who previously held the position of Minister of Science and Higher Education. The information was published on December 23 in the "AKIpress Summary" edition.

Orozov was found guilty under Article 193 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and was sentenced to a one-year disqualification from driving.

Earlier, on December 15, the press service of the President's Administration reported that Orozov had been dismissed from his ministerial position "due to a violation of ethical standards." The decree for his dismissal was signed by President Sadyr Japarov.

On the same day, the staff of the Chui Region Traffic Police reported that on the night of December 15, they stopped a Toyota Camry in the village of Koy-Tash, with Orozov behind the wheel.

Upon inspection, the driver showed signs of alcohol intoxication. Consequently, he was sent for a medical examination at the Central Narcological Department of Bishkek, where the consumption of alcoholic beverages was confirmed.

A protocol was drawn up regarding this incident, and the vehicle was placed in a tow lot.
