According to the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region, a suspect in the theft of a vehicle was detained as a result of the operation "Search".
On December 4, a citizen reported to the police in the city of Tokmok that on November 26, around 7:00 PM, his red "Sprinter," left near his home on Zhantaeva Street, was stolen by unknown individuals.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 211 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (Theft of a motor vehicle).
According to the investigation materials, on the day of the theft, the man was in a state of alcohol intoxication near his vehicle. When he went to the store for another bottle and returned, his car had already disappeared. As a result, he was hospitalized with a diagnosis of alcohol poisoning. After his discharge on December 4, he filed a report with the police about the theft.
On December 8, the van was found in the Chui region and placed in a tow lot.
During the operation "Search," law enforcement officers were able to identify and detain the suspect, I.A., born in 1988. He is currently in a temporary detention facility, and the court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 30 days.
