The incident attracted public attention after a video surfaced on Instagram on December 24, 2025, showing an attempt to forcibly place a foreigner into a car. This case was recorded in the log of the Issyk-Kul District Internal Affairs Department, which served as the basis for initiating an investigation and operational search activities.
As a result of the investigation, the suspect captured in the footage was identified and detained. He turned out to be a 34-year-old resident of Cholpon-Ata named S.N.
According to the detainee, a Bangladeshi citizen named S.A., who had been working at a café owned by S.N. since December 14, 2025, lived in his employer's house. On December 23, he received his salary of 12,800 soms. The next morning, the suspect claims, the worker left the house without warning, allegedly taking about 8 kilograms of meat.
After that, S.N. went in search of his employee, found him in the village of Chyrpykty, and attempted to forcibly put him in a car, demanding that he complete the agreed work period. However, this attempt was unsuccessful. According to the detainee, he took his meat and left the Bangladeshi citizen at the scene, after which the latter hitchhiked towards Bishkek.
Currently, law enforcement agencies continue to work on establishing the whereabouts of the foreign citizen. The investigation into this incident is ongoing, and additional information will be provided later.
