Over the past three days, two incidents have been recorded in Kyrgyzstan where employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Security Service were driving vehicles while under the influence of alcohol. These incidents have become a topic of discussion on the country's social media.

Long-Awaited Detention

The first incident occurred on the evening of December 20. On December 22, the press service of the UPSM reported that during a patrol, inspectors noticed a suspicious Toyota vehicle. The driver was asked to stop for a check, but he ignored the requests and continued driving, stopping only after repeated instructions from the patrol officers.

The driver was a man who smelled of alcohol. During the conversation, he showed his service ID and admitted to being intoxicated, but later retracted his statement, claiming he had not been driving the vehicle and did not wish to hand over the keys. According to one of the inspectors, the keys were handed over to his wife, who left the scene.

The man was taken to a narcological institution, where he initially refused to undergo an examination for a long time. As a result of the check, it was established that he was indeed under the influence of alcohol. A report was drawn up against him, and the vehicle was placed in a towing lot. According to a source from the AKIpress editorial office, this offender works in the Ministry of Internal Affairs Security Service.

Accident and Attempt to Flee

A video appeared on social media where the author accuses police officers of being involved in a traffic accident in the Ak-Ordo residential area and of leaving the scene.

According to the head of the UPSM press service, Nursultan Muratbekov, on December 22 at 15:45, an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Security Service, S.u.K., while driving a Nissan Almera in reverse on Barsbek Street, collided with a parked Toyota Crown, resulting in damage to the latter.

The driver was found and sent for examination at a narcological institution, where it was revealed that he was also under the influence of alcohol.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Security Service noted that a service investigation has been initiated regarding this incident, and based on its results, a decision will be made regarding possible disciplinary measures.
