The Main Department for Combating Smuggling of the State Customs Service achieved significant results in 2025, ensuring record revenues to the budget. The press service of the agency reported that the total amount of refunded funds reached 1.5 billion soms, which is 603 million soms higher than the figure for 2024 and is the highest result in the history of the department.
These achievements were made possible due to improvements in the detection of violations of customs legislation. From January to December 2025, 9,604 cases of violations were recorded, of which 9,100 were classified as administrative offenses and 504 as criminal offenses. Materials related to criminal cases were forwarded to the Investigation Department of the Customs Service.
As a result of court proceedings, the state managed to recover damages amounting to over 1.1 billion soms. In addition, vehicles and other property, including precious metals, worth over 326 million soms were transferred to the state treasury.
Currently, the Main Department continues to implement measures to prevent violations, reduce the risks of illegal movement of goods, and protect the economic interests of the country.
