The total amount of securities sold was 700 million dollars
Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastan Bekeshev noted at one of the meetings that this year Kyrgyzstan issued securities worth 700 million dollars and asked about the whereabouts of these funds.
In response, Finance Minister Almaz Baketaev explained that the issuance of eurobonds was an image project, and the funds were used to support the financial sector.
“The financing went to the capitalization of ‘Elidk Bank’. Currently, the bank's authorized capital is approximately one billion dollars. We are short of 200 million, but we plan additional capitalization. This will allow the bank to finance projects worth 1.5 billion dollars,” emphasized Almaz Baketaev.
