The Prime Minister intends to visit the field
During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Yrysbek Atazhanov reported that there are natural gas reserves in the Ak-Turpak rural area and urged the government to use them rationally.
“Due to the excess gas in the villages of Orukzar and Ak-Kalpak, there is an unpleasant smell in the drinking water,” he noted.
He also added that during the Soviet period, these fields were used by Uzbekistan, and later a Chinese company conducted drilling. Currently, the resources remain unused.
Adylbek Kasymaliev, the head of the cabinet of ministers, confirmed that he plans to visit the Batken region and inspect the field.
