Part of the historical structure has been transferred to "Tazalyk" for safekeeping
The city hall reported on the ongoing reconstruction work of the fountain in Oak Park. According to municipal authorities, the manufacturing of rebar frames for three basins and columns has been completed.
Work is underway to prepare the formwork for monolithic concreting. Currently, the upper basin has already been poured, and the remaining basins will be formed on-site. All necessary rebar frames and formwork are already ready for use.
“Currently, work is being done on the concrete base, after which the frame installation and rebar tying are planned. This month, the excavation filling and installation of the upper part of the fountain are also scheduled,” the city hall clarified.
It is worth noting that the historical part of the old fountain has been preserved and transferred for safekeeping to the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk".
As previously reported, the fountain, built in 1956 along with the rest of the park complex, was demolished. City officials explained that the engineering part of the fountain had become unusable. In its place, a new fountain with lighting is planned to be created.
