This statement was made by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Almaz Imangaziev.
During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Shaiyrbek Tashiev raised the issue of the difficulties faced by patients needing treatment or surgical operations abroad when obtaining visas.
“The main problem lies in the time it takes to process visas. During this time, people's health may deteriorate, and sometimes it becomes too late for surgical intervention. This is especially true for visas to countries like South Korea and Germany. Is there a possibility to conclude agreements with these countries for expedited visa processing based on medical documents?” Tashiev noted.
In response, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Almaz Imangaziev stated that the ministry is actively working on establishing a visa-free regime with the mentioned countries. He added that patients in need of treatment abroad can seek assistance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
