A Bishkek resident was surprised – private property has become state property according to the new master plan

About 300 houses changed ownership

A resident of Bishkek, Roza Bektashova, was shocked to learn that on the territory between Masaliev and Babai-Ata streets, around 300 houses are marked as state property under the new master plan.

“This area is highlighted in red, indicating land owned by the state. We have lived here for over 30 years. Now residents are worried about the future of their homes,” she shared at a meeting with the Bishkek city administration to discuss the master plan.

During the public discussion, Roza Bektashova emphasized that this area is marked in red, which indicates its ownership by the state. She expressed the residents' concerns regarding their property rights.

“We will take citizens' opinions into account,” said Vice Mayor Azamat Kadyrov.
