According to an analysis conducted by "RIA Novosti" based on Korean statistical information, Russia imported passenger cars from South Korea worth over $1 million from January to November. This is the highest figure since 2021. This year, Russian companies purchased South Korean cars worth $1.02 billion, while last year this figure was $567.4 million. Previously, in 2021, imports reached $2.2 billion. As of the end of January-October 2025, the total volume of South Korean car supplies to Russia amounted to $910 million. In the same period of 2024, this figure was $529 million, and in 2023 it was $570 million. In the importer ranking for the specified period, Russia also held the 11th position. The leading positions were held by the USA with $24.7 billion, Canada with $4.5 billion, and Kyrgyzstan with $2.6 billion, while Kazakhstan ranked seventh, importing cars worth $1.5 billion. As a result, in 2024, the value of South Korean cars imported into Russia amounted to $588 million.
