According to the Ministry of Labor of the Kyrgyz Republic, the labor force of the country has reached 2.861 million people. Of these, 2.756 million are employed, while 104.7 thousand are unemployed. The overall unemployment rate in the republic is 3.7%. As of December 1, 2025, the officially registered unemployment rate in the country is recorded at 1.4%. According to employment services, there are currently 58,565 unemployed individuals registered, which is 21.5% less than last year. The number of officially registered unemployed is 39,841, which is also 26% lower compared to the same period in 2024.
The breakdown of registered unemployed by education level is as follows:
- higher education — 2,586 (women — 1,683)
- secondary vocational education — 2,447 (women — 1,496)
- initial vocational education — 1,450 (women — 621)
- general primary education (grades 1–4) — 501 (women — 216)
- basic general education (grades 5–9) — 9,435 (women — 4,205)
- secondary general education (grades 10–11) — 23,422 (women — 10,244)
- without primary education — 7 (women — 0)
