At the session of the Bishkek City Council, Deputy Talaybek Surapbaev from the "Jany Kuch – New Force" faction expressed concern about the lack of ambulance stations in the capital.

He noted that for a city with a population of 1.5 million people, there are not enough ambulance stations. In particular, only 8 dispatchers serve the entire territory, which is extremely insufficient, especially in the context of the current epidemic of Hong Kong flu.

Bishkek's Vice Mayor Viktoria Mozgacheva responded that issues related to ambulance services were not included in the City’s Social Protection Development Program for 2026-2028. This is due to the fact that in January 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers transferred all functions, including coordination, to the Ministry of Health.

She also mentioned that the city administration had already approached the Ministry of Health regarding this issue. As an example, V. Mozgacheva cited the clinic in Kok-Jar, which was opened together with an ambulance station, but there are still no ambulances there. The Ministry promised to address this issue next year in preparation for the World Nomad Games and to provide the city with new vehicles.

The deputy also added that the need to repair the dispatch center and increase the number of dispatchers to 30-40 people had previously been raised, as 8 dispatchers are unable to effectively serve a population of 1.5 million. He called for this issue to be considered in the social protection program.
