
The Pushkin Theater announced that Vera Valentinovna Alentova, who served in this theater for 60 years, has passed away. "A great sorrow has occurred..." – the theater noted with sadness.
According to TASS, as well as the Telegram channels "Baza" and "Caution, News," Vera Alentova felt unwell during the farewell to actor Anatoly Lobotsky, who passed away on December 20. The actress was carried out on a stretcher and handed over to the paramedics.
Vera Alentova is known for her role as Katerina Tikhomirova in the cult film "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears," which was directed by Vladimir Menshov and won an Oscar in 1981. In addition, she appeared in films such as "Stars and Soldiers" (1967), "The Time of Wishes" (1984), "Tomorrow Was War" (1987), "The Groom from Miami" (1994), "Shirli-Myrli" (1995), and "Balzac Age, or All Men Are... " (2007). In 2000, the actress worked with Anatoly Lobotsky in Vladimir Menshov's last film "Envy of the Gods."
Alentova's personal life was connected with director Vladimir Menshov, who passed away in 2021. The couple has a daughter, Yulia Menshova, known as an actress and television presenter.
