P. Diddy
P. Diddy's lawyers have filed a motion requesting the annulment of his sentence or, at the very least, a significant reduction of it. Recall that on December 23, 2024, Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced Combs to 4 years and 2 months in prison.

The 56-year-old rapper was found guilty of violating the Mann Act, which prohibits the transportation of individuals across state lines for the purpose of engaging in prostitution. The defense argues that the judge acted improperly, was too harsh on Combs, and made errors by allowing the use of evidence related to incidents for which the rapper was acquitted.

The lawyers claim that the sentence may have been influenced by materials related to charges of racketeering and human trafficking, for which Combs was acquitted by a jury in July.

Currently, Sean Combs is serving his sentence in a federal prison in New Jersey, with his release scheduled for May 2028. The defense is asking the appellate court to intervene to either fully acquit the musician or reduce his prison term.

It should be noted that in September, federal prosecutors sought an 11-year prison sentence for Combs and a fine of $500,000 (240 million tenge), demanding that he be sentenced to "no less than 135 months" in prison. On October 3, the rapper was found guilty of transporting individuals for the purpose of engaging in prostitution and sentenced to 4 years and 2 months.

Combs was arrested in September 2024 after his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit against the rapper, accusing him of years of physical and sexual abuse, as well as attempts to control her personal life and career. Later, other victims joined the case.
