The Cabinet extended the New Year holidays in Kyrgyzstan until January 12, 2026

In the Kyrgyz Republic, the Cabinet of Ministers has decided to extend the New Year holidays for employees of state and municipal institutions, as well as organizations and enterprises funded from the state budget, to January 8 and 9, 2026.
This decision is aimed at supporting family values and creating additional conditions for parents to spend time with their children during the winter school holidays.
The resolution was adopted in accordance with Articles 13 and 17 of the constitutional law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic."
Furthermore, the heads of private organizations have been recommended to consider implementing a similar approach to ensure harmony between work and family life for their employees.
The document, signed by the head of the cabinet, will come into effect on January 1, 2026.
Initially, the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration planned to compensate for the holidays on January 8 and 9 by moving workdays to February 7 and April 25, 2026. However, in the final version of the resolution, this measure was canceled.
