The Ministry of Health has announced the start of mandatory vaccination for citizens planning to perform Hajj in Mecca in 2026. This measure is aimed at maintaining sanitary and epidemiological safety and preventing the spread of infectious diseases, as stated in the department's press release.
According to the new order, vaccination will be mandatory for all pilgrims against meningococcal infection and seasonal influenza.
The vaccination procedure will take place in medical institutions across the country from December 23 to December 30. Before vaccination, all participants must undergo a mandatory medical examination.
To ensure the successful implementation of the vaccination, all medical organizations are prepared and supplied with the necessary vaccines and consumables. Upon completion of immunization, each pilgrim will receive a vaccination certificate of the established form, and the information will be entered into the electronic vaccination record system, as indicated in the message.
