Citizens performing Hajj are vaccinated against meningitis and influenza

In 2026, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic will organize vaccination for citizens traveling to perform Hajj in Mecca, according to information provided by the department's press service.

According to the adopted order, all pilgrims are required to be vaccinated against meningococcal infection and seasonal influenza. These measures comply with international medical requirements and are necessary for admission to Hajj.

From December 23 to December 30, 2025, immunization will be carried out in medical institutions across all regions of the country with mandatory preliminary examination. The vaccination process will be conducted in accordance with all safety standards and infection control rules.

All medical institutions involved in the vaccination are equipped with the necessary vaccines and supplies. Upon completion of vaccination, each pilgrim will be issued a vaccination certificate, and the information will be entered into the electronic vaccination record system.
The Ministry of Health urges everyone planning to perform Hajj in 2026 not to postpone their medical examination and immunization. "Adhering to these recommendations will help preserve the health of pilgrims and prevent the spread of infectious diseases," the message emphasizes.
