Public hearings continue in the capital of Kyrgyzstan regarding the General Plan for the city's development, which is to be implemented by 2050. The meeting took place on December 25 at the "Alga" stadium and gathered representatives from the city hall, architects, and specialists from relevant fields. This information was provided by the press service of the Bishkek city hall.
Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov noted that the development of an electronic version of the General Plan is currently underway, which will allow residents to conveniently familiarize themselves with the main planning solutions. This approach aims to make the document more accessible and simplify the process for citizens to participate in discussions about the future development of the city.
Also participating in the discussion are the chief architect of Bishkek, Meder Kydyrmaev, Irina Grishechkina — deputy head of the Institute of Prospective Urban Development from St. Petersburg, as well as employees of city services.
Azamat Kadyrov emphasized that the Bishkek city hall is interested in an open dialogue and provides citizens with the opportunity to contribute their ideas and comments at all stages of the General Plan's development. The draft document has been available for public discussion since October 25, 2025, when it was posted on the official website of the city hall.
According to him, the possibility of providing open access to the General Plan is being considered, except for those sections that contain information about engineering networks.
