At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on December 24, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev announced an increase in sports funding in the country.

During the discussion of the republican budget, he noted that the amount allocated for sports needs reached 2.5 billion soms. For comparison, in 2024, 2.2 billion soms were allocated for these purposes, while in 2020, the amount was only 800 million soms.

Kasymaliev also reported significant changes in the salary system for coaches, who received a 30% pay raise in 2025. This was an important step in supporting specialists in the field of physical culture and sports.

Additionally, in 2025, sports infrastructure was actively developed. The project for the construction of a small sports arena "Zhashtyk," designed for 5,000 spectators, with a budget of 1.3 billion soms, was initiated. The construction of the football stadium "Bishkek-Arena," which will accommodate 51,000 spectators, continued.

A sports palace with 5,200 seats is also being built in Manas, costing 1 billion soms.

All these initiatives are being implemented as part of reforms aimed at improving sports management and creating a State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, which allows for a comprehensive approach to the development of both mass and professional sports in Kyrgyzstan, noted Kasymaliev.
