On December 24, Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Karim Khandzheza and Deputy Bakhriidin Shabazov met with the prize winners of the World Boxing Championship held in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
According to the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh, the parliamentarians congratulated the athletes on their outstanding achievements on the international stage and expressed gratitude for representing Kyrgyzstan with dignity.
Special words of thanks were addressed to Omar Livaza, who won a silver medal, as well as Ikhtiyar Nishonov, who was awarded a bronze medal at the championship.
"Your successes are a source of pride for our country. You represented Kyrgyzstan at the world championship at the highest level and demonstrated that perseverance, hard work, and self-belief yield results. You serve as an example for the youth," noted Khandzheza.
"We are sincerely proud of your achievements. These medals are the result not only of your talent but also of the significant efforts of your coaches. Supporting sports and youth initiatives remains a top priority for us," added Shabazov.
The event was also attended by the athletes' coaches and activists from the Moscow district, who contributed to the development of boxing.
