On December 25, during the IV People's Kurultai, President Sadyr Japarov announced that in the nine months of 2025, the gross added value produced by small and medium-sized enterprises increased by 46.4% and reached 641 billion soms.
The head of state emphasized that supporting small and medium entrepreneurship is one of the key directions of the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030.
“This sector plays a crucial role in our economy, creating jobs and providing a foundation for the stable development of society. Currently, small and medium businesses have become the backbone of our economy, and their growth over the nine months of 2025 is impressive,” noted the president.
Compared to the same period last year, the gross added value in this sector increased by 46.4%, amounting to 641 billion soms. The share of small and medium businesses in GDP rose from 41.6% to 51.7%. The number of small and medium enterprises increased by 12%, reaching 20,000. The number of employees in these companies grew by 5.3%, totaling 617,000 people. “These results reflect your work, initiative, and trust,” added Japarov.
The president also noted that the government will continue to create conditions conducive to business development.
“We will always be by your side. Our task is to continue creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurs, implementing transparent business regulations, ensuring stable financial support, and protecting against unjustified administrative barriers. We strive to create equal opportunities for everyone, whether you are a novice entrepreneur or an experienced businessman. The government will always be a reliable partner on the path to success,” he concluded.
