During the IV People's Kurultai, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, highlighted demographic issues as critically important for the sustainable and long-term progress of the country.

He emphasized that changes in the demographic situation have a direct impact on the economy, social development, and national security. In his opinion, a declining birth rate and an aging population could weaken the state’s potential.

In this regard, the head of state announced the expansion of government support for large families, especially those living in mountainous and hard-to-reach areas.

Starting from January 1, 2026, such families will be able to expect significant financial payments upon the birth of children, the amounts of which will depend on the number of children in the family:

for the fourth child, a sum of 100,000 soms is provided;

for the fifth - 600,000 soms;

for the seventh - 1 million soms;

for the eighth - 1 million 200 thousand soms;

for the ninth - 1 million 500 thousand soms;

for the tenth and each subsequent child - 2 million soms.

The president noted that similar measures had not been taken before and require significant budget investments; however, he emphasized that such expenses are investments in the future of the country, considering the current demographic challenges.
