President Sadyr Japarov, during the fourth People's Kurultai held on December 25, noted that respect for teachers and medical professionals is the foundation for a strong state.
According to him, teachers represent the future of the nation, while doctors take care of the health and lives of citizens. "Today, unfortunately, we are witnessing disrespect and even violence towards these professions. This is unacceptable," he added.
The president emphasized the need to restore the prestige of these important professions. "We must show due respect to teachers and doctors who educate our generation and take care of our health. Without their respect, we cannot become a cultural and developing society," he said, announcing a salary increase of 100% starting from April 1, 2026.
"Recently, the Prime Minister announced plans to increase salaries by at least 50%. After discussions in my office, we decided that the introduction of a presidential compensation of 15,000 soms would allow for an average salary increase of 100%," the president explained.
Currently, the average salary of teachers is 26,000 soms, and after the increase in April, it will rise to 52,000 soms. The salary amount will depend on the level of education, work experience, qualification category, region, and subject taught.
For example, a young teacher in an urban educational institution with no teaching experience will earn 36,800 soms, and after deducting social and tax payments, they will take home 31,200 soms.
A mathematics teacher with over 30 years of experience and a regional coefficient of 1.8, working in a mountainous area, currently earns 65,800 soms, and from April 2026, their salary will be 97,600 soms.
As for the medical field, the average salary of medical professionals today is 31,500 soms, and after the increase, it will be 62,500 soms, with more than 50,000 soms remaining after taxes and contributions.
A new doctor in the city without work experience currently earns 16,900 soms, and after the increase, their salary will reach 42,100 soms, which will amount to 35,500 soms after tax deductions.
The average salary of artists currently stands at 20,700 soms, and starting from April 2026, it will equal 46,500 soms, with take-home pay of 39,000 soms after social contributions.
The average salary of coaches will also increase to 58,900 soms, with take-home pay of 45,000 soms.
Additionally, starting from April 2026, the salaries of technical and support staff will increase by 80% due to the introduction of a presidential compensation of 5,000 soms.
The president noted that these measures to increase salaries are aimed at recognizing and strengthening the status of these workers, as well as acknowledging their important contribution to the country's development.
