At the recent People's Kurultai, President Sadyr Japarov noted that dissatisfaction with the judicial system in Kyrgyzstan has deep roots and has been quite significant.

He emphasized that judges should be not only strict and principled but also humane, fulfilling their duties as servants of the law. The head of state pointed out that serious steps have been taken recently to reform the judicial system, including increasing judges' salaries and creating conditions for their independence and decent living.

Japarov stressed that the responsibility now lies with the judges, as the state has fulfilled all its obligations. "A judge who sells their decision undermines the foundations of our statehood and cannot be considered a judge," he stated.

The president added that there should be no place for corruption and secret agreements in the judicial system. Anyone found guilty of such actions will be immediately removed from office and deprived of the right to work in this field.

The head of state assured that efforts to strengthen the judiciary will continue in the future.
