The head of state emphasized that there are often cases of disrespectful behavior and even violence towards teachers and medical workers in society. "The teacher shapes the future of the nation, and the doctor protects the health and life of a person. We need to restore the deserved authority and high status of these two vital professions in society," he noted.

Sadyr Japarov also announced a decision to significantly increase their salaries. Initially, a 50% increase was planned, but after analyzing financial capabilities, a more radical increase was decided upon.

"We decided to raise the salaries of education and healthcare workers by an average of 100%, introducing an additional presidential compensation payment of 15,000 soms for each position," the president added.

Currently, the average salary of teachers is about 26,000 soms, and starting from April 1, 2026, it will rise to 52,000 soms. The salary will vary depending on the level of education, experience, qualifications, region, and teaching load.

For example, a young teacher in an urban school with no experience and an average pedagogical education will receive 36,800 soms starting from April 1, 2026, of which they will take home about 31,200 soms.

In high-altitude areas, the salaries of teachers with significant experience and regional coefficients will be much higher; for instance, a mathematics teacher with 30 years of experience will earn 97,600 soms.

As for healthcare, the average salary of doctors currently stands at 31,500 soms. After the increase on April 1, 2026, it will reach 62,500 soms, with specialists taking home about 50,000 soms.

A starting doctor in urban areas will earn 42,100 soms instead of 16,900 soms, while in remote mountainous regions, a doctor of the highest qualification category with 30 years of experience will earn 91,700 soms.

Additionally, the president announced salary increases for cultural and sports workers: the average salary for artists will be 46,500 soms, while for coaches it will be 58,900 soms.

The salaries of technical and support staff will also be increased by an average of 80% starting from April 1, 2026, due to the introduction of an additional presidential payment of 5,000 soms for each position.

Sadyr Japarov concluded that these measures recognize the significant contribution of teachers, medical professionals, and social workers to the development of society and the strengthening of the state.
