According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, in the fall, when prices for beans traditionally fall, 100 million soms were allocated to support local farmers. As a result of this measure, the state purchased 1,000 tons of beans at a price of 95 soms per kilogram.

Bakyt Torobaev pointed out that at this time of year, farmers especially need funds as they prepare their children for school and universities. "The state will not remain indifferent to support," the minister added.

He also noted that an increase in bean prices is expected in January and February.

Currently, negotiations are underway regarding the possible export of beans to countries such as India, Iran, Russia, and Turkey, and the possibility of supplies to the Dubai market is also being actively considered.

In addition, farmers in the Talas region are receiving recommendations on diversifying their crops by adding sugar beets and safflower. Safflower, which is used for the production of oil, cake, and straw, is a valuable feed. In Kyrgyzstan, more than 50 small enterprises are engaged in the production of safflower oil.
