The ceremonial opening of the boiler house 'Bishkekselmash' took place in Bishkek, attended by Mayor Aibek Junushaliev.
In his speech, the mayor emphasized the importance of this facility for local residents, expressing confidence that the new boiler house will provide reliable, economical, and environmentally friendly heating.
“All the work done will create effective heating for the citizens,” he noted.
Addressing the staff, Junushaliev expressed gratitude for their efforts, which made it possible to launch such a significant facility for the city.
The boiler house, commissioned in 1974 and managed by MP 'Bishkekteploenergo', is currently undergoing phased reconstruction. The project aims to reduce technical losses, increase the reliability of heating supply, and lower the prices for thermal energy, which previously reached 50%. The total cost of the reconstruction is about 206 million soms, of which 200 million is allocated from the Stabilization Fund of Kyrgyzstan.
In the first phase, the boiler house will provide heating and hot water to 13,000 subscribers.
It is also worth noting that new boilers were installed by the staff of 'Bishkekteploenergo'.
As part of the first phase, the installation of six gas boilers with a capacity of 10 MW each has been completed. It is expected that after the launch, the cost of thermal energy will decrease from 6,679.78 soms to approximately 5,500 soms per Gcal, and for new subscribers — to 5,000 soms per Gcal.
The second phase includes the installation of additional boilers and the expansion of heating networks, while the third phase involves the construction of a cogeneration plant with a capacity of 100 MW and a 110 kV substation.
The reconstruction of the boiler house 'Bishkekselmash' will be a significant step in modernizing the heating supply of the capital and increasing its energy efficiency, as noted by the city administration.
