- At the IV People's Kurultai, held on December 25, delegate Tilek Asanbekov, representing the Talas region, emphasized the importance of accelerating the development of Kyrgyzstan's electricity sector.

He noted that the lack of electricity remains one of the main barriers to the country's economic progress.

Asanbekov spoke about the developed projects for the construction of small hydropower plants in the Tüp region, which are planned to be built in the Taldy-Suu area and on the Chon-Köçü and Kichi-Köçü rivers, with a total capacity of over 11 MW. Currently, the construction of a hydropower plant with a capacity of 3 MW is also underway in the village of Ichke-Suu.

The delegate requested the allocation of 650 million soms from the state budget for the implementation of these projects, suggesting that their construction be handed over to state enterprises so that the revenues from these facilities would go to the budget.

According to him, the launch of these hydropower plants will allow the Tüp region to become less dependent on subsidies and strengthen the financial position of local budgets.

In addition, Asanbekov proposed an initiative to support the development of the processing industry in agriculture. He emphasized that with a 60% share of the agro-industrial complex in the region's gross product, the level of processing is only 15%.

The delegate suggested facilitating the creation of refrigeration complexes, as well as meat and dairy processing enterprises, and promoting a unified product brand called "Tüp Daamy."
