Bishkek Master Plan 2050: The capital plans to create nearly 350,000 jobs and enhance financial and logistical functions

- The General Plan for the Development of Bishkek until 2050 includes ambitious tasks, among which are the creation of 349.4 thousand jobs and strengthening the city's status as the financial and logistics center of the country, as stated in official materials.

The document covers the development of the construction materials industry, including the production of concrete, bricks, glass, and asphalt concrete. It also outlines the phased implementation of "green energy," including the production of solar panels and water heating equipment.

Additionally, there are plans to support processing enterprises in agriculture, develop the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as the reindustrialization of unused industrial areas.

The General Plan also includes the construction of an innovative plant for the processing of solid household waste and the reclamation of the landfill in the northern part of the city.

"In order to develop the creative and export potential of the capital, a fashion cluster will be created based on textile and garment production," the document states.

According to forecasts, by 2050, the population of Bishkek will reach 1.92 million people. The volume of the labor force will increase by 292.7 thousand people, reaching 1.179 million. The number of employed individuals will grow from 593.9 thousand to 943.3 thousand, with expected job growth in sectors such as industry, social services, transport and logistics, hospitality, and construction.
