In its statement, the CSTO noted that the information appearing in some Telegram channels, including "Eurasian Briefing," is not true. "The Tajik side did not appeal to the organization for support in connection with the incidents that occurred on November 26 and 30, 2025," the document emphasizes.

Furthermore, the CSTO indicated that Tajikistan's cooperation with its allies in the organization regarding border security with Afghanistan is carried out within the framework of a targeted intergovernmental program approved at the Collective Security Council session in 2024 in Astana.

It is worth recalling that at the end of November, two incidents occurred when the territory of Tajikistan was shelled from the Afghan side, resulting in the deaths of five Chinese citizens. The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, condemned these provocative actions and instructed to take measures to prevent similar incidents from happening again. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic also urged the Afghan authorities to take the necessary steps to ensure stability and security at the state border.
