On December 23, 2025, in Ulaanbaatar, the U.S. Military Group operating at the embassy (USMILGP) transferred engineering equipment to the Armed Forces of Mongolia. The supplies included two trucks, trailers, and devices for detecting explosive devices.

High-profile representatives were present at the ceremony, such as Major Andrew Adams, head of the U.S. Office of Peacekeeping and Military Cooperation, and Ian Crawford, Deputy Chief of the Political Section, along with their Mongolian colleagues—Colonel Myagmarsuren Dorj and Lieutenant Colonel Ganbayar Yadam—who hold key positions in the Department of Peacekeeping and Military Cooperation.

This transfer of equipment is part of the defense cooperation between the U.S. and Mongolia and is a part of efforts to enhance the peacekeeping capabilities of the Mongolian armed forces.

The U.S. Military Group in Mongolia (USMILGP) actively promotes the strengthening of defense cooperation by providing various types of equipment, including engineering tools and explosive detection devices. Additionally, they organize joint exercises such as Khaan Quest and assist in military education (IMET), which contributes to the development of stable relations between the military structures of both countries.

USMILGP plays an important role as the military representative of the U.S., contributing to the strengthening of Mongolia's security and the development of strong defense relations, which aligns with U.S. interests in regional stability and the maintenance of democratic values.
