At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Mongolia, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development, Enkhbayar Jadamba, outlined priorities for improving management at the Development Bank. The main focuses are on reducing the volume of non-repayable loans, increasing transparency, and enhancing the management of special assets.

As part of this initiative, a meeting of the bank's Board of Directors is scheduled for December 25, 2025, where structural changes will be discussed. Among them are the reduction of departments from 10 to 6, the decrease of divisions from 25 to 16, as well as a 40% reduction in the number of managerial positions. As a result, the staff is planned to be reduced from 145 to 99 employees, which should lead to savings of about two billion tugriks.

The authorities aim to manage the Development Bank with a small but highly qualified team until stability and improvement in its operations are achieved. The shareholder and the Board of Directors have been tasked with ensuring independent management of the bank, free from political influence.
