According to the institution's data, 75% of all measles cases were unvaccinated, and among them are children who have not yet reached the age for vaccination.
The statistics on the spread of the disease are as follows:
- Kadamjai district — 140 cases,
- City of Kyzyl-Kiya — 85 cases,
- Batken district — 54 cases,
- City of Batken — 30 cases,
- Leilek district — 15 cases,
- City of Suluktu — 3 cases.
“Since the arrival of the measles vaccine and the organization of mass immunization in the region, no new cases of the disease have been identified in the last four months,” the message notes.
In 2024, the region recorded 510 cases of measles.
Currently, work continues in the Batken region on checking and preventing measles, as well as on issues of immunoprophylaxis.
