On the air of "Birinchi Radio," the head of the department for the prevention of domestic violence and coordination of mobile police reception offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Daniyar Saparbai, reported that in 2025, there were 31 recorded cases of murder related to domestic violence.
Comparing to 2024, he noted that the number of police calls regarding domestic violence increased by 4,320. Additionally, the number of victims seeking protection from the police and receiving protection orders has also risen.
In a previous interview with AKIpress, Saparbai mentioned that in the first nine months of the current year, the electronic incident log registered 16,284 cases related to domestic violence. For these cases, 12,756 protection orders were issued, which is 20% higher than the corresponding figure for 2024.
According to the department head, among the aggressors, one can find both close and distant relatives of the victims, as well as people with various professions and income levels.
Statistics show that in 95% of cases, the average age of female victims is between 25 and 40 years, he added.
