In Bishkek, a case of driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol using fake documents has been recorded. This was reported on December 23 by inspector of the Patrol Police Service, Nadirbek Jusupov.

According to Jusupov, the incident occurred on the evening of December 20 at the intersection of Chuy Avenue and Young Guard Boulevard, where patrol officers stopped a Nissan Skyline. During the check, the driver, who introduced himself as Vladimir Leontyev, showed an identification card; however, the police officers doubted its authenticity. Later, the man admitted that his document was just a photocopy and could not explain where and when he supposedly obtained his driver's license.

The driver also emitted the smell of alcohol, and a conducted sobriety test confirmed his state of intoxication, despite his denial.

Patrol officer Jusupov noted that the driver did not comply with the lawful demands of the police officers and was taken to the Internal Affairs Department of the Pervomaisky District. The vehicle was placed in an impound lot.
