In the Issyk-Kul region, an investigation has been initiated regarding the forcible abduction of a foreign citizen.
A video has surfaced on the internet showing an attempt to forcibly put a foreigner into a car at one of the bus stops in the Issyk-Kul region.
The law enforcement agencies have already begun an inquiry into this incident.
According to the regional department of internal affairs, on December 24, 2025, a video was posted on social media capturing the attempt of the forcible abduction of a foreign citizen.
This information was documented in the electronic record book of the Issyk-Kul District Department of Internal Affairs, after which operational search activities were initiated to identify the individuals involved in the incident.
As a result of the inquiry, a citizen was detained who, according to the video recording, attempted to forcibly put the foreigner into a vehicle. He was identified as S.N., a resident of the city of Cholpon-Ata, born in 1991.
S.N. explained that a citizen of Bangladesh, S.A., had agreed to work for him in a cafeteria located in Cholpon-Ata on December 14, 2025, and was living in his house.
According to S.N., on December 23, S.A. received a salary of 12,800 soms. However, on the morning of December 24, without notifying the owner, he secretly took about 8 kilograms of beef and left the workplace.
In connection with this, S.N. went in search of S.A. and found him in the village of Chyrpykty. He demanded that S.A. return to work and attempted to put him in the car to take him back, but the attempt was unsuccessful. As a result, S.N. retrieved his 8 kilograms of meat and left S.A. at the location, driving away.
According to the police, after this, the foreign citizen hitchhiked towards Bishkek.
Currently, law enforcement agencies are working to establish the whereabouts of S.A. Verification activities are ongoing, and additional information will be provided later.
