The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region reports the detention of a foreign citizen suspected of theft.
A local resident, D.G., born in 1980, approached the Internal Affairs Department in the Alamudun District. She reported that on November 27, 2025, an unknown person broke into her private store "D," located in the village of Tash-Dobo, through a window and stole 25,000 soms from the cash register, as well as tobacco products worth over 200,000 soms, after which he fled the scene of the crime.
After registering this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 205 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational-search activities, E.S., born in 1966, a citizen of a foreign state, was detained. He had previously had legal issues related to similar crimes. In accordance with the provisions of Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, he was placed in a temporary detention facility.
The district court chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest for two months. Currently, an investigation is ongoing regarding his possible involvement in other crimes of a similar nature in the district and region.
The investigation continues.
