Recently, issues concerning foreign workers and their stay in Kyrgyzstan have been actively discussed. In response to the growing interest in this topic, the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic clarified how control over these matters is carried out and what policies are applied in this area.
According to the agency, the attraction of foreign specialists is carried out strictly in accordance with current legislation and the real needs of the economy. This process is temporary and aimed at supporting investment, infrastructure, and other projects that require specific skills and expertise.
The Ministry emphasized that a key principle is to prevent the displacement of Kyrgyz citizens from the domestic labor market. "All procedures, including quotas, permits, and conditions for the stay of foreign citizens, are under the control of authorized state bodies. We actively suppress violations of labor and migration legislation. The processes of attracting foreign workers are carried out in cooperation with other state institutions. We also pay special attention to the transparency of procedures, the observance of labor rights, and increasing the share of local personnel in the implemented projects," the Ministry of Labor stated.
