Since the beginning of this year, private employment agencies in Kyrgyzstan have helped 17,167 citizens find jobs, among whom 6,957 are women. The most popular destinations for employment include the United Kingdom (5,284 people), Turkey (5,287), Germany (2,707), Bulgaria (1,273), and Russia (1,463). The remaining workers found jobs in various countries across Europe and Asia, as well as on cruise liners and in several Arab states. This information was provided by the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad under the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration.
According to the Ministry of Labor, this year, 10 meetings of the interdepartmental commission were held, during which documents for issuing work permits for Kyrgyz citizens abroad were reviewed. As a result, 143 permits were issued, while the total number of applications submitted was 206. Nineteen applicants were denied, and 51 applications are currently under review, of which 22 have not yet been paid. The income from issuing such permits to the republican budget amounted to 572,000 soms. In addition, the Center assisted 20 citizens in recovering funds from employers or intermediaries, totaling 1,130,603 soms, due to the unlawful actions of these individuals. These initiatives are aimed at streamlining the process of organized employment, protecting the rights of migrants, and enhancing the efficiency of private employment agencies.
